Our 30-Year Limited Warranty

We are proud to offer one of the best warranties in the business. This Warranty Pertains to the Fibro-Pedic, Soft-Pedic and Tri-Pedic mattresses. Our 30-year limited warranty can be explained as follows:

During your first ten years of ownership, the manufacturer will be responsible for any defective parts, labor or materials relating to your mattress and will perform any needed repairs to your mattress at no cost to you. Shipping and handling fees will be the responsibility of the customer.

Starting the 11th year of mattress ownership, the customer will be responsible for a pro-rated amount, plus shipping and handling fees, for any defective mattress returns. This pro-rated amount is calculated by dividing the number of years you owned the mattress by 30, then it is multiplied by the cost of the mattress. Partial years of ownership round up to the next full year. For example, if you have a mattress that became defective in its 11th year, you would then be responsible for paying 36.6% of the original mattress cost.

The manufacturer will not be responsible for any damage that occurred to the mattress after it has been received by the customer. This includes, but is not limited to food, drink, urine, punctures, pet damage and cigarette burns. A certain amount of cosmetic change will occur in foam over time. This is not considered a defect. While we do not specify which type of foundation should be used under your mattress, we will not accept a mattress that has been damaged by use of an improper foundation. An example of this would be a foundation with slats that are spaced far enough apart to allow the mattress to bend and sink between the slats.

If you believe that your mattress has become defective, we request that you place it on a hard floor surface and retest it to ensure that it is not the foundation underneath the mattress. If you believe that your mattress has visual sag after being placed on the even floor, we request that you take a string and pull it tight over both sides of the mattress and measure the greatest sag point from the string to the top of the mattress. If your mattress sags more than 3/4 of an inch, we will repair or replace the mattress. An RMA (Return Material Authorization) number must be obtained before returning your mattress or bed set and it must be received at our manufacturing plant.

We strongly believe that our foam will hold up over time if cared for properly. There is, however, a certain break-in period in which the foam will soften a bit. For this reason, we require that you rotate, clockwise or counter-clockwise from head to toe (not flip top to bottom) the mattress once every other month for the first 4 months (2 total rotations), then once every 6 months thereafter. We do not believe in using a plastic backing to our cover, as it can get to hot and is not easily washed. For this reason, we recommend that you purchase a cotton mattress pad to better protect your mattress cover and the foam below.

Our Flex-Tech™ 18-Year Limited Warranty*

We are proud to offer one of the best warranties in the business. Our 18-year limited warranty can be explained as follows:

Air-Pedic™ 30-Year Limited Warranty*

Your first three years from date of purchase will be covered at no cost. Years 4 – 30 will be prorated according to the table below.

What you must do

Return the warranted product or component in sanitary condition to Air-Pedic™ . Air Pedic will incur the cost of shipping up to two years after the original purchase date for orders located within the continental United States; after two years the return shipping to Air Pedic will be at the customer’s expense. Please telephone our Customer Service department at 1-800-667-1969 to obtain a Return Authorization (RA) number and arrange for the return of the warranted product or component.

What is covered

Air-Pedic™ warrants that your mattress and/or foundation and/or pump processor and hand control will be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of 30 years from the original purchase date. This warranty is between Air-Pedic™ and the original purchaser and is valid only when accompanied by the original purchaser’s sales receipt showing original date of purchase and location of purchase. Replacements under this warranty revert back to the date of original purchase for future warranty.

This warranty assures that:

  1. Cover will be free of any factory defects in the seaming and workmanship and will not become defective with normal use.
  2. The foam support structure will not crumble, bow out, or become deformed.
  3. The box foundation parts will stay intact and not break.
  4. For the extra thick urethane air core, this warranty applies to defects in the seaming and workmanship only, as tears and punctures are the responsibility of the user after the chambers have been shown to hold air initially.*See below
  5. Mattress and/or foam sagging of 3/4 of an inch or greater.

It DOES NOT APPLY TO tears, punctures, or cuts caused by accidents, abuse, improper installation of components, or any negligence by the consumer or user. The urethane air core must be properly installed within the approved supporting frame.

What is not covered

  1. Components subjected to abuse including abuse intended to simulate failure.
  2. Tampering with any component or opening the Air-Pedic™ pump processor or Air-Pedic™ hand control.
  3. Damages caused by shipper, dealer, or installation crew.
  4. Any part which merely exhibits normal wear, yet functions essentially as new, including stretching of materials and stitching.
  5. Air-Pedic™ disclaims liability for any aspect of installation after the shipment has been accepted and approved of by the customer.
  6. Because the consumer controls the end use and maintenance of the urethane air core, Air-Pedic™ disclaims all liability for damages caused by the misuse of this bed.
  7. Tears, punctures, or any damage caused by improper installation, moving of the bed or use after the customer has accepted the product in good condition.
  8. Failures attributed to improper design or function of associated components not manufactured by Relief-Mart, Inc.
  9. Body impressions less than 3/4 inches deep.
  10. Fabric stains, soiling or burns.

Limitations

Air-Pedic™ reserves the right to substitute products or components of equal or better quality, and to use or deliver refurbished products or components, in the repair or replacement of any product under this limited warranty.

Your exclusive remedy, IN LIEU OF ALL INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, INCLUDING FOR NEGLIGENCE, is limited to repair or replacement of any product or component deemed to be defective under the terms and conditions stated above. This warranty applies to normal residential use only. AIR PEDIC™ can accept or reject warranty claims based upon its findings. AIR PEDIC™ will bear no other damages or expenses. Customer maintains responsibility for installation of parts replaced under terms of the warranty. AIR PEDIC™ reserves the right to refuse to repair or replace any product or component that is returned in an unsanitary condition. This Limited Warranty applies only to the product sold by Relief-Mart, Inc. or another authorized dealer. This Limited Warranty is non-transferable. Repair or replacement of a product or component under the terms of this limited warranty in no way lengthens the limited warranty period.

ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES APPLICABLE TO THIS PRODUCT, INCLUDING ANY WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ARE LIMITED IN DURATION TO THE DURATION OF THIS WRITTEN LIMITED WARRANTY.

Our 20-Year Limited Warranty*

We are proud to offer one of the best warranties in the business. Our 20-year limited warranty for the Memory Zone™ and PolyFlex™ can be explained as follows:

During your first ten years of ownership, the manufacturer will be responsible for any defective parts, labor or materials relating to your mattress and will perform any needed repairs to your mattress at no cost to you. Shipping and handling fees will be the responsibility of the customer.

Starting the 11th year of mattress ownership, the customer will be responsible for a pro-rated amount, plus shipping and handling fees, for any defective mattress returns. This pro-rated amount is calculated by dividing the number of years you owned the mattress by 20, then it is multiplied by the cost of the mattress. *Our other models have a 30-year limited warranty. They use the same terms and conditions as above, but with a 30 year total warranty and pro-ration period instead of 20 years. Our Air-Pedic’s have their own warranty.

Our Flex-U.S.A. Elite 20-Year Limited Warranty

Year 1: Full Coverage of Parts and Labor

Upon recieving reasonable notice during the first year from the warranty commencement date, we will send replacement parts (at no cost to the Purchaser) for any defective adjustable bed part to the Purchaser, and we will pay all pre-authorized labor and transporation costs associated with the repair or replacement of any parts we determine to be defective. This one year Limited Warranty shall not apply if Purchaser does not return any and all defective parts to us within 15 days of the Purchaser’s receipt of replacement part(s).

Years 2-5: Full Coverage of Parts Only

Upon receiving reasonable written notice at any point in time that is more than one (1) year and up to five (5) years from the warranty commencement date, We will offer replacement parts for any defective adjustable bed part to the Purchaser. This four (4) year Limited Warranty shall not apply if Purchaser does not return any and all defective parts to Reverie within 15 days of Purchaser’s receipt of replacement part. Purchaser shall bear all service, transportation, labor and shipping costs related to the delivery and/or replacement of the defective part.

 

Years 6-20: Full Coverage of Parts Only

Upon receiving reasonable written notice at any point in time that is more than five (5) years and up to twenty (20) years from the warranty commencement date, We will offer replacement parts for any mechanical part of the frame found to be defective. Electronics, electrical components, drive motors and massage motors are excluded from this Limited Warranty. Purchaser shall bear all service, transportation, labor and shipping costs related to the delivery and/or replacement of the defective part.
